Please Give Gifts to Homeless!

This whole winter season is about the spirit of love and giving gifts. We as a nation gives more gifts to our loved ones in this particular season than any other season, this gives the clue as to what this spirit is all about.
Generally when we think about giving gifts the first thing comes in mind is that either we should give gifts to our family or friends; this is the nature of humankind, we care more for those who are close to us and less for those who are not close.
Human is a social animal, we are living in a society where we interact with thousands of other people daily, from those some we forget in seconds and some after few days, we remember only those who are our family, relatives and friends or those who left an impact on our life.
Human being is GOD's best creation. It's our responsibility to care for each other just for the sake that we all are human; especially those who deserve it the most.
This is the season of joy and giving gifts and whole American nation has already spent millions of dollars in buying different kinds of gifts for their loved ones, but have we bought gifts for Homeless people??? the answer is no we didn't!!! In our joy, we forget the miseries of Homeless people, I did it many times and I feel ashamed.
This season many of us have bought thousands of gifts for our family and friends to please them, but unfortunately most of us don't even look outside our own inner circle and see what Homeless people are doing. While I am in the warmth of my bed and laptop in my lap and hot chocolate on the table, there are Homeless people who are shivering in cold, with no warm clothes to wear. They might have nothing to eat during the whole day. Had I even thought about them while I was buying gifts for my loved ones? the answer is shameful, no I didn't! but now I have realized that.
I usually write about gift items and gift ideas, so I am dedicating this post to every homeless people in America, they will never know about it, however, it's worthwhile dedicating a post to them.
We spend many dollars in buying different kinds of gifts for our loved ones, how about buying one extra gift for someone who really deserve it, i.e. for a Homeless! While buying gifts we can buy an extra gift for a homeless and this won't disturb our finance and by doing this we will make homeless people happy. It's a win win situation.
We don't have to buy expensive gadgets and branded clothes to give as gifts to homeless because these things are useless for them, these poor people need basic necessities of life i.e., food and clothes. In this season, lets concentrate on buying charity gifts for the homeless people. We should give these people gifts and by gifts I mean real gifts; these homeless people also have heart, they should be respected, so by giving things as gifts we can give happiness and respect to homeless people.
There are thousand of gifts which we can give to these homeless people, with respect to this season, warm clothes including Jackets can be a very good gift and you don't have to buy expensive jackets, you can get a Columbia fleece jacket for as low as $16, it's not a big deal considering your money well spent and the inner satisfaction you will get is priceless. Gloves can also be a good gift, especially in this shivering cold season it would be a real gift for any homeless people. Woolen Gloves are available at $4 to keep their hands warm. Woolen Socks as a gift is the other option (even Dexter's father gave him socks at his birthday). Men's & Women's thermal socks are available at $3.99.
These are all very small and cheap items and many of us won't even think about giving these items as a gift to our family and friends, but these are valuable items for homeless people and would be the best gifts for them in this season.... I hope that in this particular month and in the future, you all will give more gifts to homeless... This is how we can build a strong and prosperous nation...
And one more thing Please don't give them used clothes in this season, buy some new gifts for them, spend sometime to pack them as well and present them like gifts rather than charity.
