Do you know that Google is losing its credibility and many websites are exploiting Google?

When is the last time you Googled something? It would be an hour ago or at most 5 hours ago, we use Google every day to find the information we are looking for. Either it is related to education, fashion, glamour or news. Google is very useful website as it allows us to search and extract the relevant data from thousands of websites. We trust blindly on the results shown by Google and in our perception the websites that comes on the front page of Google search are the most famous and mostly visited sites, which is true in many cases.

What if I tell you that the websites you see on the first page of Google are not the best and most visited sites? Will you believe this? Or you will say that I am jealous of Google or I have lost my mind. Many of us uses Google to find online shopping sites and we do find results and those websites are indeed very good so we stuck to them and believe that these are the best sites and we should visit them only.

But if I tell you that these websites are not the best and not the most visited sites but these are put on the front page of Google by the marketing teams of that websites? Many of you will not believe me as we all have full faith in Google that their results are unbiased. Google is unbiased but still there are methods through which marketing team of different websites manipulate Google crawlers and put their websites in front page of Google search pages.

Through Google, different companies are influencing our decisions. This is another way of advertising, but few of us are aware of this method of advertising. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the name given to this method of advertising, SEO consist of different methods and techniques through which marketing people put their website at the front page of Google research pages. So whenever you write a query in Google you only see those websites at front pages whose marketing team is active in SEO techniques.

There are 99% chances that there are better websites and links available for your query at the next pages of Google, but most of us don’t bother to see the results of next pages and remain ignorant of the useful websites available. For example if you have to buy a cell phone online, you will write “buy cell phones” on Google query box and will click on first few links and you will get the cell phone of your choice. But there is a possibility that the similar phone was available at some different site with same price but more add on features, if you have checked other pages of Google then you might have gotten better deal. By spending five more minutes you would have got better cell phone.

So next time you search on Google make sure to see the results of next pages as well you will be surprised to find better websites there than on first pages. Try it just for checking and then you will realize. SEO is widely used by online shopping sites because their business depends on these techniques.
